JOB ANALYSIS
NURSERY WORKER
FUNCTION:
Part-time position-must be 18 years of age or older have experience working with infants, toddlers, and small children ages 3-4.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Before hire, you must have training on Safe Sanctuary policy and procedures.
2. Complete a background check.
3. Have at least 2-3 years experience working with infants small children.
4. Must attend every Sunday when children are present.
7. Responsible for keeping roll on all children present in the nursery.
8. Ability to communicate and relate to parents concerns.
10. Must notify pastor 1 day in advance if you will not be able to come in.
11. Submit any job related concerns to the Pastor or SPRC
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 2-3 years experience:
A minimum of one year of successful experience in day care.
Must be a Christian.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic professional who has the proven abilities to revitalize and maintain children activities.
Must possess creativity and the ability to work collaboratively with the Pastor and staff.
Flexibility and technical competence are vital.
Salary: $10.00 hour/part-time
Work Hours:
All Worship Services -2½ hours per Sunday.

8/30 -MINISTER OF MUSIC POSITION
FUNCTION:
The Director will be responsible in planning and developing music for all choirs. The Director will select hymns, service music, lead choir and congregation in both contemporary and traditional worship serves in a multi-cultural setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Direct the planning, organizing, conducting, and evaluation of a comprehensive music ministry including choirs and vocal and instrumental ensembles. Provide variety in types of music presented. Teach, read and play music.
2. Work with soloists, ensembles, and instrumentalists regarding the selection and appropriateness of their music.
3. Lead the congregational singing.
4. Coordinate the schedule for worship services accompanists and special music, and secure replacements in their absence.
5. Train leaders and accompanists for the church music ministry.
6. Coordinate with the pastor in planning all worship services. (This may periodically include the use of drama, multimedia, and other means of enhancing worship.)
7. Lead in planning and promoting a choir program; direct and coordinate adult choir and other choirs as needed.
8. Coordinate the church music program with the church calendar and with the emphasis of the church.
9. Ability to communicate and relate to others.
10. Consult with the pastor regarding necessary music preparations for church related activities. (Weddings, funerals, etc.)
14. Promote choir camps, workshops, clinics, and programs for the various choirs.
15. Secure consent from Pastor before accepting engagements for the choir.
16. Notify the Pastor if unable to perform assigned duties.
17. Submit any job related concerns to the Pastor or SPRC.
18. Supervise the maintenance of and additions to the music library, providing musical materials, supplies, instruments, and other musical equipment for use in the church music program.
19. Keep informed on current music methods, materials, and administration, utilizing them where appropriate.
20. Recommend the financial needs of the music ministry to SPRC and, be responsible for the expenditures of the music ministry.
21. Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor.
Qualifications:
Experience:
A minimum of one year of successful experience in music ministry preferred.
Must be a Christian.
Must have the ability to sight read music.
Prefer a candidate with music credentials from an accredited college, university, or conservatory with at least a Bachelor of Music Degree in Sacred Music, Music Performance, or Music Education.
Must have a demonstrated ability to play the Piano and Pipe Organ (or willing to learn to play the pipe organ), organizational skills, people skills and ability in choral and instrumental conducting.
Must be trained in all styles of Methodist worship, liturgy, and hymnody.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic professional who has the proven abilities to revitalize the youth and children's choirs.
Must possess creativity and the ability to work collaboratively with the Pastor and staff.
